It appears as if each year there is a fresh phenomenon in the gaming domain. It principally began with the Super Nintendo NES and subsequently advanced to games like the Nintendo 64 and Nintendo Gamecube, The Sony Playstation and Sony Playstation 2 and the Microsoft Xbox. The aforementioned games though were television video games and gamers still called for their handheld similitude’s. A few of these handheld games comprised the Nintendo Gameboy and Nintendo Gameboy Advance and the Sony Playstation Portable.
Out of all the handheld games available for purchase, the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) is arguably the most recognised and demanded. It was observed in the PSP the capability of improvement. It was good, very good in fact, but there were means of making it even better. As technological cognition expanded, the likelihood for increased content and gaming capabilities were agnized. But those with involvement in this betterment were buttressed with the job of ascertaining the most suitable way to sufficiently help reach this goal. Subsequent to the numerous failed endeavors, along came the PSP Pandora battery, a device that is considered capable of making the experience of playing the PSP infinitely more exciting.
The Pandora battery would most likely have acquired its title from the popular Pandora box. The Pandora box originates from Grecian mythology and is a big jar employed for wine storage when formed by mud, or an unbreakable prison house when constructed with bronze. In Grecian mythology, a woman named Pandora bore the box and it let loose several iniquities on humankind.
The astonishing thing about the Pandora battery is that it is a great deal more sophisticated than your common battery. You are actually able to use your Pandora battery to flash your PSP. This means that the battery allows for the unlocking of your PSP to accomplish any and every thing you wish to do with it. If executed the right way and with the correct software package and memory stick, you can actually load ROM onto the PSP and play thousands of games.
So now we can visualize how the Pandora battery could bring a PSP to life and add excitement. The Pandora battery may be perceived as subversive as it amplifies the gaming potential of the PSP in ways you might have never imagined conceivable. As long as it is employed in the right way it could be extremely effective in imparting a new degree of excitement to your PSP.

Are you tired of your phone shutting down in the middle of an important call? Are you fed up with your laptop powering off right when you need it? Looking for a portable solar collector for a long camping trip? If you are tired of your electrical gadgets dying right when you need them the most, then you will love a solar battery charger. There are a number of solar laptop chargers on the market, but not all of them are created equal. And now, I will share my solar power notebook charger experience. Hope it can help you.
Find a Balance between Portability and Power
When looking for a solar powered panel for your laptop, size is a big concern. Nobody would like to take a big and heavy solar power panel when traveling. However, you need to make a balance between portability and power. If you use your notebook for little time, just choose a solar panel without internal batter. And if you want a powerful solar charger, a solar gadget with build in battery (at least 40W/h capacity) is a fine solution.
Solar Panel Peak Power and Out-Put Power
Keep in mind that makes sure that the peak power supplied by photocell is not less than 1.2W. For example, if you choose a solar gadget with 3.7V/12000mAh battery and 1W peak power, it will spend you at least 44 hours to charge your solar battery completely in sun. About out put power, there is a direct correlation between size and output. Power ranges from 10 to 30 watts. For example, a 25 Watt solar panel will completely charge the 400Wh internal battery providing up to 6 hours of runtime for a 25 Watt Laptop while 5-6 hours of sun will charge the battery halfway for 3 hours of runtime.
Compatibility and Safety Protection
Solar battery panel can work with most of laptops such as HP, ACER, SONY and etc. However, maybe there is a compatibility problem with Dell laptop charging connection. There are much complaints about the laptops not recognizing the supply. Dell is about the only OEM to use the signal. Abuse of the power cord can result in a broken signal lead. So, before you buy a charger, keep in mind that require for the compatibility issues. As safety protection, make sure extra electricity is never sent to your electronic devices, and short circuit protection– to protect your electronics when accidentally connected with an incompatible adapter tip. Just choose a charger with overload protection and short circuit protection safety features.

Since the new XBox 360s came out, there has been lots of talk about overheating issues. According to Microsoft, this accounts for just a tiny percent of all their machines, but there are an awfully lot of overheating stories out there. Lots of XBox fans aren’t happy with the way they’re dealing with the problem.
Here’s what usually happens: In the middle of a hot game your console freezes up. This happens a few more times, and then you see the Red Rings Of Death. The RR of D is not a feature of XBox, nor a foe in a fantasy game. The RR of D means that you’re machine is overheating. Some people have reported seeing an orange screen flashing as well. The Rings shut down your machine and you lose your unsaved data. What it means is that it’s overheated.
Some machines overheat after hours of play, but some do in as quickly as 10 minutes. Either way, the machine is defective and something has to be done about it.
Now, you can either send the machine in for repairs, or you can fix it yourself. Lots of gamers have been peeved at Microsoft’s slow response to their overheating woes. They say that Microsoft is slow to repair the units. Often, they will offer a refurbished unit instead. Refurbished machines are as good as new, so it sounds pretty good, but there are tons of stories online of defective replacement machines. Some XBox owners have gone through 3 or 4 machines, all of which overheated!
It’s a pretty sad state of affairs. Overheat sufferers claim that the company’s customer service is less than helpful, and that they fail to adequately take responsibility for their faulty machines.
There are a few things you can do on your own to deal with overheating. Just like any other electronics, try to keep the back of the console clear so that the hot air can escape. With a well-made machine, this shouldn’t be a problem, but if you have it all the way back against the wall, it might be a factor in why it overheats.
Supposedly, the root of the overheating problem in XBox 360s is that they tried to cut corners by using cheaply made, slow fans. There are 2 fans on either side, and they are really important for cooling the console. You can always reach back there and feel if the unit feels very cold or super hot. If one of the fans is not turning, or if it is going too slowly, you might want to replace the fan yourself. Of course, it shouldn’t be YOUR responsibility to do that, but considering all the headaches customers have had with Microsoft’s replacement machines, it just might save you some trouble.
If you send the machine in for a new fan, they may try to gouge you for it. If you look on the web (check eBay), you can find the exact same fans that are used in the XBox 360 for as low as $10. It isn’t too difficult to replace the fan yourself, and you can find schematics and tutorials online to help you.
Another minor repair you can do yourself is to put some Arctic Silver 5 on the heatsink. This is a cooling compound that you can buy online. If you apply it on the heatsink, which is located just between the CPU and the fans, it will cool down the components. People who have used Arctic Silver report great results. It seems to keep the unit from ever overheating again.
Remember also that your XBox 360 has a year long warrantee. The original warrantees were six months, but they’ve since extended it, and it’s retroactive. That means if you bought yours within the last year, it still should be covered.
If you would like to save time and money you can fix your Xbox 360 yourself today using simple step by step VIDEO instructions and you could be playing your games again in 30 minutes starting from now!
NEW! You can get all the information and tools you need to make backup copies of virtually every video game you own with nothing more than a CD burner or DVD burner and your home computer. PLUS learn how to play all of your favorite games on your PC, no console, or mod chip needed!

Don’t be lazy, the PSP replacement screen is not that expensive and you fit it yourself.
Whether it is just a black dot here and there or whole dead lines there really is no need to go on telling yourself that it doesn’t affect your pleasure – of course it does.
There are two ways you can buy a replacement screen. The easiest way is the buy the combo which includes the backlight. This is obviously slightly more expensive, but it is easier and means that there is one less thing to go wrong (it also means that if your backlight is working fine, then you have a spare). If you are feeling the financial pinch then you can get just the screen. The fitting is a little more fiddly, but not too much so don’t let that worry you. If your screen has completely died then you really should invest in the backlight as there is a good chance that this is the problem. If however it is only a few dots here and there you will be fine with just a screen replacement.
The thing to realise about the PSP screens is that they are fragile and breaking them is easy to do.
For this reason you really do need to make sure that you buy from a reputable company with a good returns policy. It doesn’t matter how well something is packed, getting broken during delivery is always a possibility.
You can of course buy in a shop, but there is still the chance it is damaged. After all, you won’t know that it is damaged until you have fitted it, nor will the person who sells it to you. Most retail outlets hate returns, so they will not want to take back your screen. You will probably have to hear all the ‘how do I know that you didn’t do it’ and ‘we can only take them back if their not opened’ lines. All of which are pretty unhelpful.
Most large internet companies will have a no quibble policy so long as you are in the required number of days.
The other major advantage to buying on line is that you can probably get a better deal, and you can also often get free postage and packaging.
A lot of reasons why you should not tolerate any more black spots; dead pixels are exactly that, dead. There is no repairing them so get yourself a PSP replacement screen and get out your screw drivers.

You may need a mobile computer, but how much power do you require? The two biggest contenders for portable computing are netbooks and laptops. They both look the same, but the cost of the netbook is invariably much cheaper and its form factor considerably smaller. Before you decide to go with the cheapest option, be informed and know which machine is best for you.
Netbook Size and Weight
If you’re looking for a machine with light computing power that doesn’t weigh too much, a netbook is more than likely the right choice for you. A netbook looks and feels like a laptop, but it weighs several pounds less than its predecessor. The heaviest netbook weighs about three pounds. A laptop weighs five to ten pounds, depending on the size of the display and batteries.
A netbook is also much smaller than a laptop. A netbook can fit easily and snugly in a large bag, briefcase, or backpack. The light weight and small size make the netbook easy to lift and feels as if you are carrying a textbook. Laptops however, vary a lot in size depending on the width of the screen. They also require a larger bag, and most people are forced to purchase a laptop carrying case along with their new machine. If you’re a student carrying lots of text books around campus, the extra burden of a heavy laptop might make moving between lectures a real drag.
Laptop Performance and Computing Power
Netbook computers are usually for people who need to type letters, browse the Internet away from home, or for quick documentation creation. The computing power of a netbook is improving monthly, yet still greatly reduced compared to a laptop. If you need to run memory intensive applications, the better choice is a laptop. Gamers, programmers and video designers are just a few people who won’t appreciate the poor graphics, slower hard drive and reduced processor speed of the little netbook.
Affordable Cost
For people on a tight budget and no credit card, a netbook only costs approximately $200 to $500. Laptops range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. Netbooks are good gifts for students, writers, and professionals who just need a portable computer for typical office work.
Some netbooks are discounted, and it is possible to find a used netbook for under $100 if you know where to look. Before taking the cheapest route, consider if a netbook has the computing power you need for running your mission critical applications. If all you want to do is browse the Internet from a remote location, then a netbook is sufficient. For those gamers and graphics gurus out there, a netbook might disappoint you. Best stick to a laptop for portable applications that require higher computing power.

PSP Game Guide Articles
The game phenomenon has been around for a long time. Previously dominated by gaming consoles, the main companies in the business of gaming consoles were Microsoft and Sony. Each company designed and presented their own game console. If you recall, Microsoft’s product was the Xbox and Sony’s the ever popular and changing Play Station or as it is fondly called PSP (portable play station) because currently many of their designs are now smaller and are portable.
It really is an excellent concept because it satisfies the consumer being able to transport their consoles and games where ever they feel like having a gaming session. The product has many versions and each version continues to work well as well as being difficult for diehard gamers to give up when something newly redesigned comes along. They get really attached to their PSPs.
The latest gaming device is the PSP Go. The design has everyone talking from the gaming enthusiasts to those that are considered a newbie to the gaming world. The new unit was released October 1st in the United States and Europe and will be released in Japan with a date of November 1, 2009. It is a device that has been eagerly awaited throughout the world. Many people are waiting to buy it or are trying to convince themselves that it would be a great addition to their gaming systems. The expectation for this product is huge because it has been redesigned to where it is as small as an I-Pod touch! Most gamers of course are just curious about what upgrades Sony has performed to the product, how much it’s going to cost them and of course, most importantly will the still be able to play their UMD (universal media device) games.
The features presented to consumers are the first of this type. The PSP Go sports a beautiful premium outer finish which screams top shelf. The buttons are not plastic, but sturdy chrome. The screen size although smaller boats the same beautiful colors as its predecessors, but without the interlacing issue that went with the PSP 3. Additionally, instead of the UMD drive for the discs, it has been replaced with 64 mb of memory and an additional 16 mb of internal flash memory for storing games and movies. It has a very nice sliding door on top so you can access the controls. Plus, once you’re finished you can easily slip it in your pocket and go. No messy cords, discs to keep up with or cumbersome carrying case to be bothered with.
In regard to sound, the unit has built in speakers so you can still enjoy the sound effects of your games and it also comes with a microphone, Wi-Fi with integrated web browser and Bluetooth connectivity. It does have USB connectivity, but gone are the USB mini plugs. Sony has a proprietary USB cord that will only fit the PSP Go.
Since the unit has Bluetooth connectivity it lacks infrared connectivity, but Bluetooth is much more practical than infrared because you can also use it with other devices. Although, there are some features missing, but you can’t have it all. The benefits of the device outweigh the expectations of the gaming enthusiasts especially for those of us that have not experienced the previous PSP models. The previous models were a great success and the PSP Go is expected to increase its sales more than likely during the holiday which is more than enough time for the true gamer to decide it would be a great addition to their handheld devices.

New PSP Game Articles
The PSP has quickly become the best-selling portable gaming system and sales continue to soar. It has many features that make it so popular including being able to download PSP games for use rather than having to buy new games each time one comes out.
Whether you have already used PSP game downloads or are hoping to start, let’s look at your three options for finding PSP downloads that you can start using today.
Your First Option
You can find websites that offer “free” psp downloads, however pay close attention to these websites before you hit that download button. Several of these websites have been shut down recently for distributing spyware and viruses (and illegal files).
These websites also have slow download speeds and for whatever reason many of the files don’t end up working. You can wait days for a download to finish only to find out you wasted your time.
Most people find these sites too frustrating to work with, but we figured we would list them in case you want to take a stab at them. You will probably find the next two options better though.
Option #2
The second option lets you download PSP games a lot faster and without as many headaches, but you will have to pay for it.
There are PSP download websites that charge a monthly membership fee to be able to download PSP games and movies. Since they charge money for the service, they monitor the website for viruses and spyware and are able to offer downloads speeds that are much better than the first option.
You will be billed each month for this service and you might also have to pay a fee for each download you make. It’s not a bad option, however the next one on our list ends up saving you a lot more money.
Option #3
This combines the best elements of the first and second options. You can download PSP games quickly, safely and without having to pay monthly fees.
There are PSP websites that offer unlimited downloads (movies, games, music etc.) for their members. You will be billed a one-time only fee (about $35-$45) that gets you a life time membership. You will never be billed again and can make as many downloads as you want.
The software you need to transfer games onto your PSP is included – all you have to do is login whenever you want to start downloading.
It’s pretty amazing how many downloads you can choose from. All the newest games and movies are available and the websites are fully registered (meaning they are safe, legal and run by professional companies).
Go to http://www.pspmaxed.com to try a risk-free trial at a couple of these websites. You can also browse through their selection of games to see exactly what is offered.
Once you starting downloading PSP games you open a brand new world for your PSP. It’s great to have the option to get a new game whenever you want simply by logging in and clicking you mouse. Trust us – you’ll be hooked!

Psp Game Tip Articles
My next biggest question about my favorite new toy was about how to download movies to PSP.
I had already mastered the music thing so I figured the movies wouldn’t be any harder to learn. It turns out it was just slightly harder, but not too much. I’m going to share what I learned with you so you can download movies right to your own just like I did.
Ready to learn how to download movies to PSP? Let’s go!
Just like music, it uses a specific file format to play movies. Movies must be in the MP4 file format in order for it to be able to play them. No big deal. We can handle that little obstacle.
There are many places on the Internet to download movies for your PSP. Google Video, YouTube, VideoJug, to name a few. It’s as easy as hooking it to your computer using a USB 2.0 cable, waiting for your computer to recognize it as an external drive (usually E;), then saving the movie file to your computer and dragging it to your PSP.
But what if you want to use your personal DVD collection to download your favorite movies to your PSP?
That can definitely be done, but first you need to prepare because movies are huge files that use up lots of memory and space on your computer and you’ll need to consider several other things regarding storage for your downloaded PSP movies, too.
Decide whether to save your movies directly onto your computer’s hard drive before transferring them or whether to save them to a portable Memory Stick or whether it would be better to use some other external storage device.
These are all very important decisions because you don’t want your computer hard drive to become over crowded and stop working efficiently or possibly crash. You might even want to think about consulting your favorite local computer store professional about what they would suggest as appropriate movie storage options. It certainly would be a timesaver in the end.
OK, once you’ve finally decided on an efficient storage option for your movies, now what do you do to get the movies onto your PSP?
Well, you’ll need a USB 2.0 cable to transfer the movie files from your computer to your PSP. You probably already have one so the next tool you’ll need is a program that will rip movies from DVDs onto your computer.
There are several complicated free software solutions that will do this and several moderately priced software solutions, but my best suggestion would be to use a service such as PSP Blender.com.

A Pandora battery or a jigkick battery is used for a PlayStation Portable. It puts the PSP into service mode and thus allows it to enter the software or firmware loaded onto the memory stick. The Pandora Battery flashes a serial number that is invalid and sends the PSP into the service mode. This then enables the PSP to boot from a memory stick. Play station adepts use this method to allow installation from custom firmware.
There are two basic methods to modify the battery so that they are not limited to using only Sony games and watching only Sony movies using their play stations. The two methods are called the soft mod and the hard mod respectively. Both modify the battery, the one that is more popular with play station users is the soft mod.
Soft ‘Mod’
The conversion of a battery to a Pandora battery by way of software is known as Soft Modification or Soft Mod. This course of action requires the utilization of an existing homebrew enabled PSP and a homebrew program to reflash the battery. One of the most popular hacks is called ‘Hellcat’s Pandora Installer’. This program is available at most software sharing websites. It is extremely useful since it not only enables the making of magic memory sticks, but also helps in unbricking the Play Station.
Once the battery has been converted to a Pandora battery, the PlayStation can run third party software. You can also hack into the firmware of the PSP and customize it, up- grade it and down grade it as required by you. You can enjoy the latest features released for PSPs without having to upgrade your hardware.
Hard ‘Mod’
The hard mod involves physically modifying your battery. You need to tamper with two specific pins on the battery’s circuit board. This again confuses the PSP which reads a serial number that is not valid.
There are specific programs that help you make Pandora Batteries. If you go on Utube, you will find many demonstrations of the same. All you need is the bare minimum hardware, your computer, a home brew enabled PSP and a standby battery. Once you have these things, you could just follow the instructions on Utube. These are extremely simple to follow, and you will have made a Pandora Battery for your PSP.

Psp Game Tip Articles
Do you own a PSP? Have you noticed the rising cost of games, movies and music for your little handheld device? If so, you have been or already searching for places to buy these items for a much cheaper price. However, you may not have an idea where to start. This may help you to have an idea.
There are three main ways that can help you save some cash as you get what you want. Not all of these are recommended but they need to be looked at carefully before you decide automatically which download option you will choose.
Using the Internet -
One Free but Possible Expensive Way to Download PSP Games
With the good sites come sites that look good on the inside but can cause quite a bit of damage in the long run. These sites are totally, 100 percent free to download from. You never have to pay a fee to get the games, movies or even music. Yet, there are risks to getting anything from these sites. If you have ever entered the world of the Internet, you know about viruses. Anytime something is free to download, you take a risk of downloading a virus onto your computer. If it is installed in a game, then you run the risk of moving it onto your PSP. This is indeed a costly mistake.
Free But Misleading
When you search the Internet through those search engines, you may run into a few sites that claim to be free, look like their free but they are anything but free. Signing up with their website is indeed free but getting any sort of software still costs you. In fact, it could cost you just as much on the website as it does in the store.
Keep Looking!
One Time Fee then Free
The best kinds of websites to look into are sites that give you an unlimited service for just a small fee. Not a monthly fee, mind you, but a fee you pay only once. The service charge is around $50 but you get an unlimited number of games to choose from to download. You not only get games but movies, music and so much more can be downloaded from these sites.
The sites are also safer because its operators will scan through every file to be sure there is no virus, adware or spyware hidden inside. Your $50 pays for itself two or three downloads later. Your money is used for site maintenance and game site listings so more games are added to the list.
On top of that but the better sites will give you the software to transfer those files to your PSP from your computer.
